The Rum and Popcorn 100

I got a lot of problems with these people!

60. Sunday Nights at The Nest

You know, I’ve always wanted a bar that I can call my own. Where the bartenders know me and where I feel part of a community in my town. And now I’ve found it. Sure, it’s normally an old guy bar during the week; during the summer, it’s overrun by kickballers run amok; I think the friendly bartender who offers me shots is secretly trying to kill me; the Monday Morning discoveries that, “shit, I’m still kind of drunk” is always disturbing; and yeah, what’s that smell?

But it’s kind of a new home. My little piece of the neighborhood. And until the cops or the health department shut it down, The Turkey’s Nest is now Number 1 in the “Bars Where They Know Me” rankings.

1. Turkey’s Nest
2. Coyote Ugly — still a fond place in my heart, even though I will miss my favorite bartender.
3. Kabin — Nice strong charge up the rankings courtesy of the feisty bartender who breathes fire on Friday afternoons
