41. LeBron James is coming to New York! Supposedly.
Never before have I seen a team and city willing to throw away the next two years in the hopes of landing a free-agent superstar. And the sad part is, the way the NBA works, that’s totally the right move. Kudos to the Knicks, though for continuing to actually play the games and not simply forfeiting them. Which is I think what they did the last two years.
Mitigating circumstances: Look, if he actually stays, how good would Cleveland feel about itself? And kudos to the Cavs for actually building a really good team around him instead of just sitting around whining.
